Cala d’Or Things to Do
When travelling to Cala d’Or you will find how it is mainly divided into two separated areas by the Cala d’Or Marina in between them. The main areas at each side are: Cala Egos and Es Fortí at one side and Cala Ferrera and Cala Gran area at the other side.
The Marina is a great place to go for a walk, a bicycle ride or to try some water sport activities. There is a great deal of good resturants at the Marina too.
The Marina was built in 1970 on what is also called the cove of Cala Llonga. The main feature of Cala d’Or is its rocky coast line with its cliffs hidding all the different coves: Cala Gran, Cala Ferrera, Cala Esmeralda, Cala d’Or, Cala Llonga, Cala Egos and Calo des Pou. Other than Cala Llonga all the other coves became the sandy beacutiful beaches that have made this part of Mallorca so apealing.
